The SIU-C Mentorship Program

This proposal is for a PRSSA/PRSA Mentorship Program, and is presented by Southern Illinois University Carbondale.

Objective

It is our objective at Southern Illinois University Carbondale to provide members of the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) with an opportunity to become acquainted with professional practitioners. These professionals would in turn educate students on adhering to the highest ideals and principles of the profession and instill in them a professional attitude.

PRSSA Mission

The mission of the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) supports the objective of this proposal. This organization is designed to (1) serve its members by enhancing their knowledge of public relations and providing access to professional development opportunities; and (2) serve the public relations profession by helping to develop highly qualified and well-prepared professionals.
