Opportunities for Students
If you were a college member of the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA), there's an added incentive to join PRSA. PRSSA graduate students are eligible for an Associate membership, a two-year discounted dues rate. Applicants must be a PRSSA member at the time of graduation, and the application must be submitted within two years of graduation. Associate members may not hold certain elected or appointed positions within PRSA. The initiation fee is deferred for two years, or upon becoming a full member. If you are interested in being a mentor for PRSSA chapter students at Southeast Missouri State, Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville, Southern Illinois University-Carbondale or Webster University contact mentoring@prsastlouis.org. | | 2006 PRSA St. Louis Chapter President Chuck Reitter (left) with PRSSA regional school scholarship representatives, Amanda Gomez (Webster University), Michelle Ficek (Southern Illinois University Carbondale), Tanya Kath (Southeast Missouri State University), Kati Renth (Southern Illinois University Edwardsville) and PRSA St. Louis Student Relations Committee Chair Michelle Mason. The respective schools were awarded $250 scholarships to help defray costs of students attending the 2006 National PRSSA conference in St. Lake City. |
