Young Professionals Team Up With United WayMore Than 30 Volunteers Help Out on Two June 7 Projects More than 30 volunteers through United Way’s GenNext program and PRSA St. Louis’ Young Professionals teamed up at two United Way supported agencies in the St. Louis region. One group of young professionals took children from the Children’s Home Society to the St. Louis Zoo, while the second group landscaped at the Epworth Children’s Home in Webster Groves. The Children’s Home Society provides support services for children with physical and developmental disorders. Epworth is a place where children and families find strength. It is a home and resource for troubled youth. Many children live on campus and are able to see the young volunteer’s efforts in their own area.
Special thanks to all volunteers including: Billy Brennan, Elizabeth Hise, Lorie Eigenrauch, Becky Ojile, Nez Savala, Kathleen Souder, Caroline Landree, Stephanie Phillips, Jadea Abolahrari, Dawn Runge, Naomi Davis, Katie Yeckel, and Matt Pollett. Thank you also goes to team leaders Christy Oldani and Sisi Marty who both volunteer for GenNext! United Way of Greater St. Louis helps agencies it funds not only through community dollars but also through volunteer service hours. GenNext, a United Way initiative of 20- and 30-somethings helps strengthen the St. Louis community by participating in volunteer opportunities to help build a healthier community in St. Louis. The United Way funds 200 health and human service agencies located throughout a 16-county area in Missouri and Illinois. More than one million people in our bi-state community receive services that strengthen families, help the elderly, keep children healthy and safe, and build stronger neighborhoods. Thanks again,
