Young Professionals Service Outing

The Young Professionals of PRSA St. Louis are teaming up with United Way of Greater St. Louis to participate in the GenNext program!

The GenNext program invites people in their 20's and 30's to strengthen the St. Louis community by participating in meaningful volunteer opportunities and following the projects, all volunteers gather to enjoy a networking session. Our event is right around the corner and we need PRSA members to volunteer.

DATE: Saturday, June 9, 2007
TIME: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

We will be participating in two projects.

Children’s Home Society of Missouri, 9445 Litzsinger Road, Brentwood, MO 63114

Volunteers will escort the agency’s children on a field trip to the St. Louis Zoo. The Children’s Home Society provides support services for children with physical and developmental disorders.

Epworth - 110 N Elm Ave., St. Louis, Mo 63119

Volunteers will be helping with weeding, cutting vines, pulling small bushes, clearing a path, watering, and spreading mulch on the Epworth campus. Volunteers should bring their own work gloves and all other tools will be provided. Epworth provides short and long term residential services for youth, family reunification therapy, special education and a 24-hour help line.
Following these projects we will all meet up (place is yet to be determined-stay tuned) for the United Way sponsored “Thank You” social. At this time we will have a group photo taken and pat ourselves on the back for a job well done and for a service that is priceless to those we are helping.
