Pam Maples

A native of Springfield, Mo.,
Pam Maples is a graduate of the University of Missouri School of
Journalism. She worked as a reporter for newspapers in Springfield,
Albuquerque, N.M. and Denver before joining The Dallas Morning News in
1990 as an assistant national editor. In 1995, she became national
editor and in 2000 she was named the newspaper's assistant managing
editor of projects & investigations. In that role, she supervised
several award-winning investigations. Maples was a member of the
reporting team that wrote a series, "Violence Against Women: A Question
of Human Rights," that was awarded the 1994 Pulitzer Prize for
International Reporting. Pam was named managing editor of the St. Louis
Post-Dispatch in October 2006.  Pam Maples
