"Becoming an Architect for Change."
In the fast-paced, ever-changing world today, corporations and organizations face increased challenges - a new digital age, a global economy and the empowerment of new stakeholders. As a result, both companies and non-profit organizations must change, according to an acclaimed report put out by the Arthur W. Page Society entitled "The Authentic Enterprise." Among its findings, the report emphasizes that today, corporate and organizational reputations are the responsibility of everyone in the organization. Additionally, it affirms that CEOs are looking to communication professionals for leadership in understanding and responding to this new reality.
Maril MacDonald, CEO of Gagen MacDonald, and colleague Sherry Scott talked about "The Authentic Enterprise" at the annual joint meeting of PRSA-St. Louis, CSPRC and IABC-St. Louis, Jan. 19, 2010 at the Sheraton Clayton Plaza Hotel. "The New Public Relations Agenda and Becoming an Architect of Change" examined the drivers and implications of a rapidly changing context for 21st century businesses and organizations. Our presenters also shared their views on the evolving role of the communications professional as transformational leaders in helping companies and non-profits succeed in the vastly different environment of today's global relationships.
