Kim Funcik

Kim Funcik is a qualitative marketing research and strategic marketing professional who formed the consulting firm Creative Quest LLC in 1994. Kim’s career also includes positions in strategic marketing, product development consulting, and marketing research. Her former employers include Team Four/Development Strategies (1979-1981) Maritz Research (1981-1983), Times Mirror Publishing – C.V. Mosby Research Division (1983-1985), SBC Communications – Strategic Marketing (1985-1993), and Epley Marketing Services – Account Executive for Missouri Region (1993-1994), and Webster University - Adjunct Marketing Faculty (1993-1994).

 
Creative Quest, LLC - Creative Quest LLC is a marketing research and innovation consulting firm which supports many clients in understanding their customers, developing new ideas/strategies, creating value, and growing their business. Creative Quest’s strategic marketing research and consulting tools help build insight into customers, organizations, services, products, and communications.

Profeesional Roles - Funcik designs marketing research and innovation consulting services based on client’s needs.  She facilitates research focus groups and idea generation/problem solving sessions with groups of employees, customers and “trained brains.” Funcik has conducted over 700 in-person groups and over 50 online groups. She enjoys unleashing the imagination of participants and helping to create fresh ideas and strategies through customized techniques and analysis methods.


Education - Funcik's education includes an M.A. in marketing from Webster University (1993), B.A. in political science from University of Missouri-St. Louis (1979), Synectics Innovative Facilitator Training (1995), RIVA Institute Focus Group Moderator Training (1990), Online Moderator Training (1999), and Eureka Trailblazer Training (2001).

Organizations - Kim is active in the Qualitative Research Consultants Association (QRCA), and Innovation Network. She provides volunteer support to social concern organizations and to women entrepreneurs.


 

Presentations - Funcik has presented “Building Innovation through Insights” and “Online Qualitative Research” at organization conferences, including American Association of Trial Consultants, Institute for International Research, National Association of Electrical Distributors (NAED), and Public Relations Society of America (PRSA).
