Angie Lawing

Mercury Multimedia and the Lawings

Filmmakers Chris and Angie Lawing began Mercury Multimedia to combine their experience in film/video production and public relations under one roof. Created in 1997 as SPF Post, Mercury has delivered hundreds of corporate videos to grab the attention of client customers, partners, investors, media and other audiences and compel them to action. Located in San Francisco, St. Louis and Phoenix, their award-winning company specializes in producing professional film, video, web design and interactive media for a wide range of corporate and organizational uses, including corporate videos, B-roll, Video News Releases (VNRs), Public Service Announcements (PSAs), trade show videos, sales presentations and training/recruiting videos. Clients include EarthLink, JDS Uniphase, NIKE, Grace Cathedral, Asian Art Museum of San Francisco and SETI Institute. Mercury also produces a nationally syndicated original television show about the hottest home video rentals.

Chris Lawing, President/Creative Director
A veteran of several hundred corporate video programs and broadcast segments, Chris acquired public relations and marketing expertise prior to founding Mercury Multimedia, Inc. As a filmmaker, Chris' numerous short film screen credits include editor of BBGun, which aired on Showtime and two feature length films, Uncommon Friends and emily's ghost, a film Chris wrote, directed and edited. Chris served as an assistant editor on Pixar's Monster's Inc. and Showtime's The Settlement.

Angie Lawing, Executive Producer/Writer
Angie has developed news stories and managed media relations for 25 of the nation's leading companies. Her track record includes increasing client media coverage over 56 percent in a year and arranging more than 100 media interviews within a week for the merger of a billion dollar company. Angie brings the same business savvy and eye-catching story crafting skills to Mercury Multimedia projects. With dozens of corporate videos completed, she is a veteran scriptwriter, producer and a qualified Avid editor. Her filmography also includes producer and assistant director on several feature length and short films. Angie holds a film studies and French degree from the University of Kansas.
