2007 Presenters

Dec. 19 - Patrick Murphy, vice president, KETC-TV and executive producer, "Living St. Louis," shared some of the changes he has witnessed in as the "voice" of Channel 9 since 1981, in a lighter year-ending luncheon. The three-time Emmy award winning producer also looked ahead to changes already taking place in TV editing and production.

Nov. 16 - "Career Strategies for PR Professionals," with Rose Jonas, "TV's Job Doctor," offered tests and a series of exercises to look at one's professional career or when interviewing potential business partners or employees. Check out her Web site for more tips.

Oct. 17 - "Media and Messaging to Diverse Audiences: Know the True Value of Your Audience." Moderator - Nancy Elswick, Media Strategist, Media Quest. Aug. 15 - "The Small to Extra Large of Crisis Management: Why Tailoring Your Approach Works." Liese Hutchison, Saint Louis University, offered strategies and tactics on how to respond to a variety of stakeholders during a crisis, from the small one-day event to the next Katrina. July 18 - Local Home & Lifestyle Editors - Christy Marshall, St. Louis Magazine; Kelly Hamilton, ALIVE Magazine, and Jamila Robinson, St. Louis Post-Dispatch shared their stategies in a growing competitve market, their desire for exclusives and how to get ideas and stories in front of them.

April 18 - St. Louis media online editors Kurt Greenbaum, online news director, stltoday.com ; Tim Wolff, online executive producer, ksdk.com and Kelly Hatmaker, managing editor, KMOX Radio and kmox.com shared the role of their online versions of their parent newspaper, television and radio news sources, the differences in the news they share, and their approachability for stories from PR pros.

March 21 - Dick Weiss, former St. Louis Post-Dispatch writer/editor spoke on the eternal life of a "good story" in "Story Telling in a Topsy Turvey Media World." Check out his Web site for a podcast of the program.

Feb. 23 - St. Louis Regional Chamber and Growth Association (RCGA) CEO "Dick Fleming" addressed the national marketing of St. Louis through the “St. Louis: Perfectly Centered, Remarkably Connected” campaign with a detailed look at how the RCGA searched out how others - individuals interesting in traveling to or possibily living in the area, corporations and conventions "perceive" the area in "Marketing St. Louis to the Nation." Annual luncheon during Pro-Am Day at Saint Louis University.

Jan. 18 - Pam Maples former news editor of The Dallas Morning News and new managing editor of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch spoke on "The Newspaper: Today and in the Future" before a combined PRSA, CSPRC and IABC St. Louis crowd of 315. At the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Clayton. Sponsored by Market Wire.
