Chapter Dues Increase
The local St. Louis Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America will increase its local dues to $50 beginning in January 2005. Chapter dues have remained at $35 since the mid-1990s. At $50, our local dues will remain comparable to those of other PRSA chapters and professional associations in the St. Louis area.
In recent years, we have created a renewed energy and excitement in our PRSA St. Louis Chapter. We have expanded our services to include:
- Online reservation system for events with option to pay by credit card
- Online Job Bank
- Diversity initiatives
- Four national speakers keynoting luncheons in the past year.
- New PRSSA student chapter
- Created new Web site that includes event information, Members Only section featuring easy-to-find information on fellow Chapter members, a photo directory and other professional resources that advance the profession and the professional
- Expanded local training for APR (accreditation) examinations
- New member orientation sessions
- Professional and social events for PR professionals
- Increased networking opportunities due to increased membership
- Access to online professional resources
Increased communication via brief program updates and reminders
The PRSA-St. Louis Board has determined that an increase of Chapter dues to $50 per year would best provide for the current and future financial needs of the chapter. This will enable us to maintain a balanced budget and provide new and expanded programs and services. The decision to raise local dues allows PRSA to continue to offer the level of service that our members have come to expect.
A reminder: By renewing your PRSA-St. Louis membership locally, it ensures that the entire local dues stay in St. Louis. Your local dues helps support PRSA-St. LouisÕ programs and events.
