Tina Carroll, APR, (Accreditation) - Christina "Tina" Carroll has been creating effective, award-winning communications campaigns for more than 20 years. She has worked on staff in corporate and broadcast settings and as an independent contractor developing and executing creative, effective communication strategies. Most recently Carroll served as director of public relations for Magellan Health Services, a specialty health care management company providing management services in behavioral health, diagnostic imaging, and specialty pharmaceuticals. While at Magellan, she developed and executed award-winning communication strategies resulting in increased name recognition and improved customer relations and engagement. She oversaw production of more than 300 projects per year including online newsletters, direct mail and e-mail campaigns, technical manuals, brochures and flyers, Web site design, Webinars, podcasts, and videos. Previous work included St. John's Mercy Medical Center and KETC Channel Nine. Carroll has a bachelor of arts degree in mass communications from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville, and a masters in social work from St. Louis University.

James Braibish, APR, (Advocacy) - Jim is principal of Braibish Communications, providing services in public relations, media relations, crisis communications, marketing communications and fund-raising to a broad range of business and organization clients. Previously he served for nine years as public relations director for the American Red Cross St. Louis Area Chapter and handled media response for local and national disasters. He also has directed public relations for the service organization Optimist International and supervised client public relations programs with Edelman. He has been a PRSA St. Louis board member since 2003, serving as membership chair and co-chair. He was a Delegate in 2006. Jadea Abolahari (Assistant Treasurer) - Jadea is an account executive for CheckMark, Nestlé Purina's creative communications and design agency. She has been with the company since February 2009 providing communications and marketing counsel to Purina's brands. Prior to joining the CheckMark team, Jadea was an associate at Standing Partnership, a strategic communications firm specializing in reputation management, where she provided expertise in internal communications, strategic planning, media relations and event planning. Jadea is originally from the "Land of 10,000 Lakes." She received a bachelor's degree in communications from Minnesota State University, Mankato, and has been a PRSA member since 2007.

Gary Ford (Ethics) – Gary is an assistant professor in the School of Communications at Webster University in St. Louis, where he teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in public relations and corporate communications. He is the school's director of graduate studies and is program director for the undergraduate public relations program. He is also faculty advisor for Webster's chapter of PRSSA. Prior to entering full-time teaching, Ford was group director for Weber Shandwick Worldwide, where he managed work for several clients. He also has held positions in corporate communications for Mallinckrodt Inc., where he directed external, internal and financial communications; Southwestern Bell Corporation, where he served as chief financial spokesman; and Mayo Clinic, where he managed internal communications, handled media relations and edited medical publications. He is an independent communications consultant providing counsel to clients in St. Louis and the Midwest. Ford earned a bachelor of journalism degree from the University of Missouri, holds a master's degree in business management from Webster University, and completed graduate work in corporate finance at the Wharton School. Before entering the public relations field, he was a reporter and newspaper editor and served as managing editor of the Kansas City Kansan.

Heather Kemper (Job Bank Co-Chair) - Heather is the director of public relations at Foster & Adoptive Care Coalition, one of the area's largest recruiter of foster/adoptive homes in the St. Louis metropolitan area. To help promote the Coalition within the community, she oversees media relations, public relations, crisis communications and marketing communications. Heather is responsible for editing several local and statewide newsletters, electronic newsletters, updating social media Web sites, and maintaining the www.foster-adopt.org Web site. She received her bachelor's degree in communication, emphasis on public relations, from the University of Missouri-Columbia. Heather has also volunteered with Big Brothers Big Sisters for over seven years as a Big Sister, and is on the executive committee for the Sierra Club Eastern Missouri Group. 314-799-9292.

Charlene Johnson (Meetings & Arrangements Co-Chair) - Charlene is the sales and marketing specialist for the St. Louis office of BKD, LLP, one of the 10th largest CPA & advisory firms in the country. With more than 10 years of professional services sales and marketing experience, she works with firm leadership to assess marketing opportunities, develop and execute on strategic and tactical plans that drive long-term revenue growth.

Richard Buckley (Meetings & Arrangements Co-Chair) - Rich is state director of communications and marketing for the Missouri March of Dimes. He develops programs to support March of Dimes efforts to give every baby a chance to be born healthy. He builds relationships with Missouri media to promote the organization's signature event, March for Babies, as well as build awareness of March of Dimes efforts to combat premature birth. Prior to joining March of Dimes in 2007, he was director of development and communications for Kennedy Catholic High School and a vice president at Fleishman-Hillard. He was previously a PRSA member from 1991 to 2001. He is a graduate of the University of Missouri School of Journalism.

Christine McCarty (Membership) - Christine oversees day-to-day media relations for clients of Mercury Multimedia, a film and video production and public relations company. The company's creative team builds buzz and generates business results by merging the power of filmmaking with a resolute focus on strategic communications. Before coming to Mercury, Christine spent nearly three years working on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. She worked for three members of Congress and oversaw their media relations outreach. In her last position as a communications director, Christine wrote press releases, speeches and oversaw both internal and external communications for a congressman. Christine earned her bachelor's in journalism with an emphasis in broadcast journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia.

Stephanie Huff (Membership Co-Chair) - Stephanie has worked in public relations and marketing communications for more than 20 years in St. Louis, New York and San Francisco. She currently creates communication strategies and oversees implementation of brand-building campaigns for clients through her firm, Huff Communications. Prior to that she served as VP of Marketing for Whitney Design. She has a bachelor of journalism from the University of Missouri and a masters of international business from Saint Louis University. Barb DeSanto, APR, Fellow PRSA (Pro-Am Day Co-Chair) - A professor and director of the communication program at Maryville University, Barb combines more than 15 years of professional experience including news reporting and editing, and public relations experience in domestic and international tourism, county government, and consulting work in her academic world. A native of St. Wendel, Minn., original home of Lake Wobegon, she joined the Maryville staff in the fall of 2009 after chairing the mass media department at Washburn Univerity in Topeka, Kan., and before that graduate director and professor at North Carolina-Charlotte. She has held four board positions with the Association for Education in Journalism & Mass Communication (AEJMC), including head of the PR Division. Her PRSA activities include coordinating PRSA's Learning to Teach national and regional seminars, the national outreach to help practitioners transition into public relations classrooms and co-editing the third edition of PRSA's Learning to Teach; instructor for APR training sessions; CEPR academic program reviewer; and Educational Affairs board member. Her teaching areas include research and strategy, international tourism, and public relations curriculum development. With both a bachelor's and master's degree from her home state St. Cloud State University, Barb earned her doctorate at Oklahoma State University.

Sue Gonders (Pro-Am Day Co-Chair) - Dr. Susan Gonders, professor and coordinator of the public relations program at Southeast Missouri State University (Cape Girardeau) since 1994, brought to the classroom more than 20 years of experience serving 300-plus clients. She holds a doctorate from Oklahoma State University, a master's degree from the University of Central Oklahoma, and a bachelor's degree from the University of Oklahoma. When she completes her term as immediate past head in 2010, she will have served 12 years (1998-2010) on the Association for Education in Journalism & Mass Communication (AEJMC) Public Relations Division board. She has coordinated PRSA's global certification in education for Public Relations (CEPR) initiative since 2007. She and 2005 PRSA CEO/President Judy Phair co-chair the 2010 Educational Affairs standing committee to the PRSA National Board. She is working on a history of presidential rhetoric, a biography of Robert Hutchins and his influence on higher education and communication, and completion of the unpublished autobiography of public relations pioneer Rex Harlow.

Christi Dixon (Program Co-Chair) – As a vice president at Standing Partnership, Christi manages complex clients with diverse communications needs. She currently guides the firm's work for The United Way of Greater St. Louis, the National Center for Parents as Teachers, Maritz, The Private Residences at The Chase Park Plaza and The Doe Run Company. She recently led the 25th Anniversary campaign for Parents as Teachers, including development of the communications strategy for its fundraising efforts and increasing awareness of the organization. The campaign resulted in more than 500,000 audience impressions during the first six months of the campaign. Christi's efforts on behalf of her clients have earned multiple APEX awards, the HSMAI Golden Bell Public Relations Award, an IABC Gold Quill award, a regional IABC Silver Quill, several local IABC Bronze Quill Awards and recognition as a finalist for the SABRE Awards. Prior to joining Standing Partnership, Christi was with Matthews/Mark in San Diego, where she garnered nearly $2M in media placements for the Baja California Department of Tourism and La Costa Resort & Spa. Her campaign for Baja California received a Bronze Bernays Award from the local chapter of the PRSA. She played an integral role in the development of the agency's own strategic communications plan, which earned top awards from San Diego's American Marketing Association and led to several new clients for the integrated firm. Christi graduated summa cum laude from Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa.

Drew Langenberg (Program Co-Chair) - As the director of marketing and communications at FOCUS St. Louis, Drew develops marketing and public relations strategy, creates and edits Web site content, writes FOCUS' electronic newsletter, oversees social media efforts, and handles public outreach and recruitment for many of FOCUS' programs and initiatives. Prior to joining FOCUS, Drew was a broadcast news producer in Albuquerque, N.M. and Palm Springs, Calif. He holds a bachelor's degree in communications from the University of Missouri-Columbia and a master's degree in broadcast journalism from Syracuse University.

David Craig (Publicity) - David is principal of David Craig PR and Marketing, providing public relations services for a wide range of clients. Before moving into PR in 2008, David was morning show host at WIL radio in St. Louis (1988-2004) and at KLOU in St. Louis (2004-2007). He previously hosted morning shows in Philadelphia and Dallas. David is native of Birmingham and a graduate of the University of Alabama where he majored in broadcast communication. He is a member of the board of NAMI/St. Louis (National Alliance on Mental Illness). He is on the PR committee for Small Business Week of Eastern Missouri.

Katherine (Kathi) Lucas-Johnson (Seasoned Professionals) - A St. Louis native, Kathi is director of human resources and public relations for the Community Action Agency of St. Louis County. She was employed at HDC of St. Louis in the Urban Training Center in 1974 and than public affairs at KTVI for 15 years. She returned to community action in 1998 as public relations director for the Human Development Corporation (HDC) of Metropolitan St. Louis until 2001. The corresponding secretary for the Greater St. Louis Association of Black Journalist-(GSLABJ), she has received four GSLABJ Excellence Awards in public relations categories. She is an active member of the Human Resources Management Association (HRMA) and serves on its program committee. Kathi served on the Community Affairs Commission for the City of Olivette for four years. She is currently a community representative to the YWCA Head Start Policy Council; and is the recipient of the 2009 YWCA Head Start Champion Award. She received her bachelor's of science from Marymount Manhattan College in New York and has a masters of science in broadcast management from Lindenwood University. She joined PRSA in August of 1997.

Tim Fox (Student Activities) – Tim is a communications professional who has spent more than a decade working internal and external communications for St. Louis-based Ameren Corporation and AmerenUE. In that position he has worked to develop and implement the communications strategy of a publicly-traded Fortune 500 utility company. For four years, he led development of Ameren's annual report and assisted with other financial communications efforts. He wrote speeches and talking points for Ameren's president, chairman and CEO; developed, wrote and edited various PR materials; answered media inquiries and appeared on-camera on company positions and initiatives. He provided content and managed content development for Ameren's Web site, www.ameren.com; created, wrote and edited InFocus, a quarterly internal publication for Ameren's non-regulated subsidiaries; and wrote and edited Ameren Journal, a monthly newsletter for employees, retirees and other stakeholders. Prior to joining Ameren, he was book editor for the Missouri Historical Society Press. While there he served as editor of "Where We Live: A Guide to St. Louis Communities" and co-authored "From the Palaces to the Pike: Visions of the 1904 World's Fair." He has also written for Washington University in St. Louis, St. Louis University, the University of Missouri Press and others. Tim earned a bachelor's in psychology and a master's in English literature, both at the University of Missouri-Columbia.

Stephanie Phillips (Young Professionals Chair) - Stephanie is a senior associate at v-Fluence Interactive, which she joined in January 2006. Stephanie is part of the company's Online Environment Optimization team where she leads Web 2.0 outreach efforts for clients in the food and agriculture, health care and business sectors. Prior to joining v-Fluence, Stephanie was an assistant account executive at Snyder & Workman Communications and held internship positions at Ronald McDonald House Charities and Fleishman-Hilliard. She has a BA in public relations and a certificate in Web site development from Webster University. Stephanie has been a member of PRSA since 2006.
