1) Kicking off the New YearPam Maples, managing editor of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, will be the featured speaker at a joint meeting of PRSA St. Louis, the St. Louis Chapter of International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) and Community Service Public Relations Council (CSPRC) 11:30 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 18, at the Crowne Plaza-St. Louis in Clayton. A Springfield, Mo. native, Maples joined the paper in October. She most recently served as news editor for the Dallas Morning News and was part of its team that won a 1994 Pulitzer Prize for international reporting. Accreditation Committee Objective: To promote Universal Accreditation with the Chapter and to encourage members who are eligible for Accreditation to take the exam.
