1) Kicking off the New Year

Pam Maples, managing editor of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, will be the featured speaker at a joint meeting of PRSA St. Louis, the St. Louis Chapter of International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) and Community Service Public Relations Council (CSPRC) 11:30 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 18, at the Crowne Plaza-St. Louis in Clayton.  A Springfield, Mo. native, Maples joined the paper in October.  She most recently served as news editor for the Dallas Morning News and was part of its team that won a 1994 Pulitzer Prize for international reporting.  For details and to register for the luncheon, click on our special joint invitation and registration form .

2) Lend a hand. PRSA St. Louis Committees and Development Opportunities

Want to help the St. Louis Chapter in 2007?  Here are the various committees, what they are about and their mission.  Contact one of the chairs or co-chairs where you'd like to share your expertise or interest.  Committee work is open to members and non-members.
 
Accreditation Committee
Objective:     To promote Universal Accreditation with the Chapter and to encourage members who are eligible for Accreditation to take the exam.

Community Outreach Committee
Objective:    To educate membership on the value of "giving back" to the community, to offer members outreach opportunities and to announce community outreach achievements and list them on the Chapter Web site
