February 2003 eNews

PRSA St. Louis eNews is sponsored by Bacon's Media Pulse

Mark your calendars - March 19,
"Special Events, Special..."at the Junior League
It’s not as if the events of 9/11, anthrax scares and rumors of war, have not already added to the concerns and preparations of PR pros. When you have a "Special event” you often encounter “Special” problems. Hold, Wednesday, March 19 on your calendar for the next PRSA-St. Louis luncheon to hear how planners for events such as Fair St. Louis and the St. Louis Mardi Gras cover their bases. Watch for registration  details on this Web site. Or sign up now at prsastlouis@earthlink.net if you know you’ll be there. Put March PRSA in subject line

New logo:

New Look?
Like the new logo above? It’s the new look for an organization on the go and on the grow. Read more about the new design here. All PRSA materials and regional and chapter looks will have this logo in place by next January. Now if we can just figure how to get it on our luncheon nametags.

Sporting New Initials
Last summer, PRSA-St. Louis pushed for members to attend free study classes, learn from the local pros, study, and work their you-know-what’s off, to pay for and take their APR exams. Now the results of those efforts are starting to trickle in. Several chapter members, including two 2003 Board members now proudly list “APR” behind their names – Accredited in Public Relations – by the Public Relations Society of America. Way to go folks!
