SEMO needs a new professional advisor, APR or 5+years experience
Southeast Missouri State University (SEMO) in Cape Girardeau is looking for a new professional advisor. The candidate must have APR or at least five years experience. Participation can vary by your level of interest. SEMO has a new curriculum offering a series of mini courses taught by professionals. A course could convene eight hours per day for a two-day weekend course or five hours per day for three days, etc. Courses could even be taught in St. Louis. SEMO can pay for one hour of adjunct teaching time (approx. $700). Teachers will be required to devise some measure to evaluate achievement and to determine course grades. Courses can range widely -- plan writing, web design, media relations, etc. Interested? Please e-mail Susan Gonders: sgonders@hotmail.com
Burke takes up offer, gets stipend, attends conference
Mary Eileen Burke answered PRSA-St. Louis' challenge to write, (in so many words or less), why she should receive the chapter's $500 stipend to attend PRSA's International Conference in San Francisco last month. The team leader at the Vandiver Group will be sharing some of her learnings and experiences in this spot and with the chapter leadership.
