    Stay Constantly Connect

    • Connect, even if it seems out of reach
    • Identify three people weekly and make the connections (Twitter is good for this)
    • We’re never too old or too cool for informational interviews
    • Seek out advice, give props to those who you value
    • Always carry business cards, you can network anywhere
    • Go to networking events – set up coffee with those you didn’t get to talk to
    Social Media Do's

    • Do be active- inactivity is the curse of death
    • Know your audiences and what they want/need
    • Be conversational – insert personality within content
    • Take things off the internet – create an online connection, then connect offline
    • Do have a game plan for dealing with the internet trolls

    Social Media Don'ts

    • Don’t be a robot
    • Don’t forget to insert your own personal voice; be genuine
    • Don’t post things you don’t want there forever
    • Don’t tweet/FB/anything with a hot head
    • Don’t be afraid to say you don’t know
    • Don’t spend too much time on the web (go outside….
